I have a client making this request, I dont think its a good idea either. But if there's an option I can present it and then communicate downside.

They want to be able to attach a file to a transaction without the need to rename it if there are other files with the same name already in the file cabinet.

I'd consider automating some kind of folder creation to have an individual folder for each transaction. That, or I'd consider a script for auto renaming files to append the transaction number to the file. Ideally though - you don't store that stuff in NetSuite and use a link to a box.com/google drive/one drive etc because storing files in NS is expensive once NS drops the hammer on you
