Depends on what you are doing. US only? I can set up Avalara US only in a week (and thats adding a day or two for mistakes), The challenge is the item mapping. I had a client with a huge list that really didnt understand how to describe their offerings to match what is in the tax engine database. That mapping is the most time consuming

Yes, US Only. I do remember spending about 2 weeks for item mapping many many years ago, but everything else was pretty easy along with exemption certs. Just trying to see if 2 months was anything unusual as I couldn't believe this would take that much of the time.
