For those using "supply order allocation strategies". Any pro's and con's you would like to share?

What’s your use case?

No particular use case, looking for list of pro's con's for those that are using it.

I think it works well the supply allocation and order reservation functionality We have implemented it for a few customers
You get good visibility of the purchase order quantity that has been allocated to sales orders
You can control firm commitment, order priority too and you can create order reservations for specific sales channels. You can even set up sales channels for specific customers where you want to ensure you can reserve stock specifically for them

Thanks for the reply, any con's to note?

The only main one I can think of is you can’t peg a specific purchase order to a specific sales order The whole allocation process is also based on dates - the expected receipt date on the purchase order line and the supply required by date on the sales order line

Hi @Ricky We've just started using this for transfer orders. However we've not set supply required by date for transfers already created. I've attempted everything to try and update them through scv, mass update, and workflow setting. Do you have any suggestions?
