hi everyone any implication when replacing old item to new item?

You would lose item history, why are you changing the item though, that’s the first question

the reason is the inventory team decided instead using serialized goods, they want to used non serialized goods thats why they will create a new item to replace that old item

Hmm , you would lose the item history but you can create a custom field and link it on the new item if you like so you can reference it also if you use demand/supply planning you want to use this item as alternate item.
