Is it possible to use advanced pdf/html templates with the standard check printing functionality (Transactions > Management > Print Checks and Forms (Checks))? I had assumed there was a way, but everything I've done doesn't seem to have an impact on how the check actually prints there, and NS support has been giving me the runaround for a week+ so clearly they're just as stumped as I am.

Hello, @James Morris. Yes, there's a way you can do that. 1. Create an Advanced PDF Template. 2. Set this template as the preferred template for the transaction form. 3. Use the massive printing tool.

@Alejoj Garcia I've created an advanced template for checks, check vouchers, and bill payments and set on those preferred transaction forms printing type of advanced and set those advanced templates for both PDF and HTML. However when I use the mass printing tool, it still prints the exact same, even though I have significantly changed the look/design of the check on the templates. I'm not clear on what I'm missing.
Based on my testing, it looks to me like the (Transactions > Management > Print Checks and Forms (Checks)) functionality is running off of the "Transaction Form PDF Layouts" versus the "Advanced PDF/HTML Templates" no matter what you set as the Printing Type and Print Template on the actual transaction form itself. Would love to be proved wrong though, so I can use the Advanced PDF/HTML templates for printing checks.

It is possible

Update: Okay, so after another round of testing with NS Support, what I discovered was that I was wrong (yay!) that it does update the way y'all are saying. However, it seems that updates to the template take multiple days (boo!) to make their way to the printing checks screen (at least in my sandbox account). We tested this a number of different times and cleared cache and used multiple browsers and confirmed it was indeed using the advanced template, but when changes were made to the advanced template they did not reflect in those printed checks at all. It was still showing the advanced template version that I had put in place a week ago, not the current version.
