We've recently renewed our license with Oracle NS, but we've now been informed via email that Oracle has discovered through audits that XXXX US is a subsidiary of a larger company (The XXXXX Co., Ltd.). These audits assess various systems with access to data like employee count and annual revenue. It's important to note that our parent company doesn't utilize NetSuite; they have their own country-specific software. How do we justify this sudden 50% increase? Has anyone else encountered a similar situation?

We are having the same discussion with them. We were acquired a couple years ago. We still operate under our old name, have our own separate tax ID number and are considered a disregarded entity. We produce reporting that we send to the parent company and that is the only interaction we have with them. They don't log into our system and don't run day-to-day operations. It is very frustrating that NetSuite is so insistent the "Operations" requires them to move us to enterprise edition. I was able to talk them down during our last contract negotiation, but I don't think I am going to be successful this time.
