NetSuite did our implementation (we should have used a partner) and not only did it cost a lot, and their PM often cried on our daily conference calls, but we had multiple on-site visits by a dozen NetSuite employees which were totally bizarre, since I don’t think half of them were involved in our implementation. I had to listen to one woman tell me that I was going to love SuiteTalk, that it’s just like pillow talk, only better …

like actually cried?

Sobbing. He also quit halfway through, citing the stress of working with us as his breaking point. It wasn’t really us, though, just the fact that Recurring Billing didn’t actually work, despite them selling us on it, with out months of custom work on their end to improve the product.

jeez that's crazy i've never seen someone break down like that (yet)

Some people aren’t cut out to be managers. Gotta have a thick skin

I'd go w/ zone billing over their own half baked implementation these days if i were gonna do subscription billing style stuff
netsuite basically took a 3rd party app and shoehorned it in

At one point, the creator of Recurring Billing was even called to help us, though he had since left that project, and was on leave at the time. He was in the hospital with his wife right after she gave birth and their baby was in the NICU, and NetSuite demanded he help us on a Saturday.
c
that is horrible
s
I would throw my phone out the window if anyone harassed me at the hospital like that
