I am having trouble using the Period Override permission for a custom role, in a closed period. Does anyone have any direct experience with this? There is no overview on the permission but in ancillary articles, this permission is referenced as a way to edit a transaction in a closed period without opening the period...working with a client and I’d like to add a name value to the line on a JE is all, which is a GL impact but...this should work? 😀 Thanks in advance!

What it does instead is to allow that custom role to make GL impacting changes to a LOCKED but NOT CLOSED periods. No one, even the Admin, is allowed to change posting transactions in a CLOSED period.
