[ADJUSTING PO QUANTITIES] Guys, what is the best practice here? Situation

We raise a PO for 20 units of a certain item.

Down the road, we learn that only 15 will be shipped by supplier.

We want to have NS understand that now only 15

Alternatives:

1. *Adjust down* the item quantity?

2. *Split the line in two* - one with 15 units and the other with 5, maintaining the first open and closing the second?

3. Somethings else?

Help?

Will the other 5 be shipped later? in that case you can do a partial item receival for 15 items, and later do another item receivel for 5 items. you end up with 1 PO for 20 items, and 2 items receivals for combined 20 items

In this case, the other 5 items were cancelled by supplier

If nothing is billed or shipped, then yes I would just change the PO to 15. If it's already been billed then you gotta do more wonky stuff.
