Running into a issue with serial character limits in netsuite as our business scales. The serial field on item receipts/sales orders/ etc has a max limit of 1,000 characters (advanced bin )/3,000 (non-advanced) compared to our purchases/orders having upwards of 20,000+ serial characters. This requires us to break things up into very small pieces to accommodate the limits. I imagine many other companies with inventory (especially ones bigger than us) have run into this issue and have a workaround/best practice. any suggestions??

Going to ask a pointed question here - What are you selling that has that many serial characters? It sound like that's capturing more than just a unique identifier for a specific thing.
