Hello All, I need your suggestion over here. My client requires his invoices to be posted to different income accounts, based on the department selected on the transaction header. As much as I know, I feel this is not possible and the work around is creating multiple version of the same item linked to that specific income account or to use header and line level departments, to get the GL posting marked accordingly. Do you guys have any other work around?

the true is that to get all the details from the chart of account is very old and obsolete method. But I know a lot of companies still use it. Today nearly any ERP system has more dimensions than just an account. So just add the department in the income report and case solved. It is more difficult case If the data must exported to other system where all these accounts are needed. Then one scenario would be to transform data during export to change one account to other. Also please check Custom GL plugin, maybe it will help also https://docs.oracle.com/cloud/latest/netsuitecs_gs/NSCGL/NSCGL.pdf.

I agree Custom segments I think is the answer here. Let the money sit on one account and report based on segment.
