Anyone know why someone would not be able to see rows on a view if their role is capable of seeing them? They have the proper permissions and when I log in, I see the proper results. Am I missing some personal setting? This is very frustrating. It's an item view. They have tried checking "show inactives" just in case, but no avail.

Did you check to see if there is a permission set within the field itself?
When you say rows, do you mean from a saved search? Or fields on a form?
k
Check the filters section of the view as well
j
Yes, a saved search used as a view. My user showed me a screenshot and he had no filters on.
m
Is there a subsidiary or employee restriction set on the role?
j
We don't have OneWorld and no restrictions on that role.
When I use the role, I see everything as expected, which is doubly frustrating. I even tested it with a different test user, same role and it shows up there, too.
k
Department or class or location assigned to the user?
j
Yes, those are filled out.
k
Are they different than what's assigned to you?
j
I have given the test user the exact classifications as the person having trouble with the view. It works for the test user.
k
And you are 100% positive the user hasn't done something to create their own view?
Seems like a support ticket with NS.
j
Pretty sure. It was the exact same one. Oh well, I'll open a ticket and hope for the best.
Opened a ticket and Support tried to shut me down. I pushed back a little. We'll see. (We only have Basic support).
k
Have to phrase it very carefully to make it clear you are reporting a defect.
j
They're investigating it. I pointed out that I looked at their canned SuiteAnswers articles and the problem remained. Persistence pays off. :)
