@Justin B - are u referring to automagically send an email when results are updated
j
Yep. It might be criteria related? But some SOs that show up on the results will trigger the email to send. Most don't though. I can't see why!

l
i guess iw as referring to
j
Oh yeah, that's checked
k
Unfortunately there's not much logging here
j
And I just have myself on the list of recipients
k
Is it possible the "date of First order" gets populated after the sales order is saved - so it doesn't meet the criteria when the record is first saved?
l
thatโ€™s what i was thinking
k
so it shows up in the search when you run it, but because the field is "blank" when you first save it, then it doesn't send the notification
j
Ah that's a good idea. You may very well be right
Shoot
l
Kevin is usually right @Justin B ๐Ÿ™‚
j
I've noticed LOL
Maybe I'll se to "is blank." Kinda dirty but should resolve with that theory
l
@KevinJ of Kansas - fyi that was a compliment btw! sorry it was backhanded there ๐Ÿ™‚
k
didn't feel backhanded to me haha

This working for you now Justin?
j
My switching it to Date of First Order: Empty didn't solve it, so I'm rethinking a different approach
k
Workflow is great for this kind of thing.
j
Probably a really dumb question. Either of you know where to find the First Order Date field as criteria within a workflow? It's the only thing I'm missing in setting this up as a workflow instead (thx again Kevin). I thought I could just select Record: Customer, Field: First Order Date the way I see it on a saved search, but no such luck. :(
k
I doubt it exists on it. You might have to populate it somehow.
