Is there a way to see what parts of a role employees are using? We have a lot of users on the ‘Full Access’ role. But the Full Access role will be inactivated as of 2020.2 and permanently removed in 2021.1. I want to see what part of a role people use and then create custom roles based on that.

@Christian W. You can even use saved search Search type will be "Employee".

Hi Kelly, I know what role they have but I want to know what parts they use from that role. For example: what forms do they use often or what permissions.

In this way we can turn the question around from “what permissions do our users need?” to “what permissions do our users use?”

You could do a system notes search - it'll give you a starting point on transactions. Aside from that- no - there's no way to do this and you'll have to ask the more challenging question of "what permissions do the users need"

Strongpoint might be able to help, @Liam Gainey
There website is strongpoint.io

@Suitestallion i’ve been looking at strongpoint but I’m not sure it they can help me with this. As @KevinJ of Kansas says, this info is apparently not logged in NS so a system notes search or maybe the audit log can be of some help. Thanks for helping me out.
My idea, of doing it the other way around, seemed logical but apparently figuring it out will be the hard part here.

Strongpoint doesn’t rely on NS system notes, once they install there bundle they have there own logic, but if you looked at them already than I am not sure

@Christian W. Strongpoint has a partial solution to this issue. We could tell you what types of transactions or which transactions a full access user is committing but not give a full log of everything a particular user has done.
If you’re interested, I’ll check with our devs to see if a solution to your exact problem would be a simple tweak of any of our tools. I’m at Liam.gainey@strongpoint.io

No worries Liam, we will figure it out. But if it’s a simple tweak it could be usefull. I guess we are not the only company dealing with this issue.

Hey guys I would also love to know the solution to this @Christian W. And @Liam Gainey .
l
@leo we don’t have a ready made solution and there hasn’t been enough demand for us to build one yet. We are giving away our flashlight app to help companies deal with COVID though. https://strongpoint.io/flashlight-by-strongpoint

@Liam Gainey - Thanks for that! Amazing to see you guys to do that and appreciate it!
