Any ability to use the employee center for a sales rep type role where all they do is look up detail on a customer, no editing/updating values. I see the employee center has access to contacts but not customers so it appears the answer is no but want to confirm

We've done something similar by exposing the records via a suitelet that has run as permission of a different role

I figured there would be a very custom route available for this, I know our developers have built out some pretty far reaching capabilities in the employee center too, thanks for confirming this would be the method!
