anyone created a headcount KPI The headcount analysis that NetSuite has in kinda crap considering everyone uses the employee record for stuff other than regular full time employees. I don't want to have to recreate their scripting

I did this ages ago...essentially a case statement...its painful.

You could just add a custom checkbox field for "include in headcount" couldn't you?
