Is anyone charging customers a credit card fee? We had setup and have been using a negative rate discount item for this...and I found out that it is charging sales tax on the fee. The item is set to exempt and the "apply before sales tax" has been tried both checked and unchecked. Any ideas?

Hey Mike - lots of card brand rules around surcharging that can lead to massive fines so be very careful. I suggest my clients use Scratch software for surcharging customers that pay with a card. Would be happy to make an intro.

Thanks Murray, I appreciate the heads up. We have a compliance company and they have given us the rules to follow. One of those rules is why I cannot use an Other Charge and rely on people doing the math properly. Thanks!
