Has anybody ever done anything to track item revisions for inventory items? I need to track preproduction, production samples from vendors and approvals from customers, and then tracking active revisions in inventory and what revisions are required on SO/PO. I have ideas for how to put this together, but i'd love if there was a solution somebody has already come up with

There are not a lot of great ways to do this. The most common is you actually make a new item record for each revision then make a parent item assigend to all them for roll up. Also I’ve seen people use lots or serials for rev tracking but that gets more complicated
