I would like to use a wildcard to set a filter in a report. The format of the items I'm looking for is: word1 : word2 . I can bring up a list, but then I have to select each one manually. This becomes extremely tedious, since there are sometimes close to 100 items. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

That format implies there is a hierarchy. Could you consider using Subitem Of is not empty?

I'm afraid I don't know what that means.

No problem. So you said you are looking for items that look like word 1 : word 2. When you see the format including ":" it means there is a hierarchy or Parent : Child relationship. This relationship is formed by the field "Subitem of" being populated on word 2. One way you may be able to achieve what you are looking for is by filtering your report by only items that have the Subitem Of field populated, meaning they will look like word 1 : word 2.

Sounds like it might work, but I don't see that field anywhere.

It's possible it's hidden/moved. Can you share some screenshots of the item record?

I'm trying to filter by the customer name
Let's say I'm trying to select all the names on the left side. Since there's no "select all" option, I would need to click on each one separately to include them in the filter.

Try Filters > Parent > Value = Not Empty
k
That selects more than I need. I only want one value from the Parent, Then one value (followed by a wildcard) from the Child record
It works when I use the not empty Parent, and add another filter to find records containing ("contains") the search name I'm looking for.
Thank you for your suggestions and patience!
