Hi - is anyone here familiar with Serialized items? When we first set up netsuite, we were not using serialized items. We are trying to convert all our skus to serialized items now but to duplicate all existing skus is not ideal. Anyone have a solution we can use to keep the existing skus that were created and serialize them?

First, I suggest testing serialization so you understand the added additional process including: specifying serial number on receipts, fulfillments and adjustments. Next: 1. Export original item record. 2. Update existing items to Inactive, rename if it helps you differentiate. 3. Import new serialized item records. In process transactions will be a bit painful until inventory is depleted, and those items should be left active.

Thanks We already starting using serialized items for new product releases and are clear on the flow. We are trying to avid having to recreate a new product page for all older items. Is there any other solution even a plug in to use which will allow us to use serilization with existing skus that are set up as non serialized items

Not to my knowledge.

An inventory item and a serialized item are considered different item types so you have no choice to recreate them as a second sku
