Anyone know what the permission is to add or edit User Notes on a saved search? We have notes permissions set to Full. Not sure what else is missing
j
You might have to adjust permissions with the record type as well. If they only have view permissions to a client, they may not be able to add/edit a user note on it.

The strange thing is that the role can see and manipulate notes as normal on a Financial Review saved search, but not on this Sales Order (transaction) Saved search. Is that normal?
n
@ted_p The user changing the notes may also need access to edit the saved search.
j
Saved Searches have User Notes?
t
No, doesn't appear to be edit access issue
j
Does the user have the Presentation Categories permission?
t
I don't even see that as an option in the role. Hmm
j
message has been deleted
t
ahh, under lists. okay, let's try it
No, that didn't work either. hm
j
Can you add a screenshot of the saved search User Notes field?
t
Sure, one sec.
User/Role without proper permission:
User/Role with permission:
The user cannot click the "New" button to add a note
message has been deleted
j
Try comparing the roles that can and cannot click the New button
Setup > Users/Roles > Show Role DIfferences
t
yeah, I've been going through and adding every permission that looks okay. Was hoping to avoid this, but oh well
j
lol
I believe the "Available as List View" checkbox on the saved search creation page adds the "new" option
if that helps
t
yeah, that was the first thing I tried
I mirrored all the List permissions and it still didn't work. So frustrating. Must be a different type or permission.
