Not yet, I'm guessing that's a prerequisite? No other way to just set a date on the asset and generate depreciation from there?

No, you need to import it AFAIK

Quick question about prior depreciation - if you import it, will it also generate journal entries? We don't want it to as we already have accumulated depreciation in the GL.
