Is there a filter in saved search that lets you to filter the date to be "as-of" a certain date? Can't seem to find anything that can do that in the filters available

There's not anything that will just go snap shot a saved search as of a date like that, but there's usually a way. For example if you wanted to get an inventory snap shot as of a date with a search, you'd have to do a transaction search, set the account to your asset account(s) in the criteria, then group by item and sum the qtys on the results. This would basically include every inventory impacting transaction and recreate the inventory as it would have been on that date.

hmm I was looking at how to pull a saved search for fixed assets as of say, 31/12/2018. I'm currently using 'date created' but if there is a way to get it 'as-of' that would be better.

I agree, was just trying to think of an example where you'd use as of in a search.

Unfortunately, inventory management was not enabled for the NS account in my company as most of those features are not used...

Inventory valuation report does not typically touch fixed assets management.
