to open up your options, i'd make that a two step process. Business Card Scanner --> CSV --> Netsuite CSV Import Map. Then you can really use any tool out there and import to the same CSV each time. If I used one, I'd recommend one, but if I did, that's how I would do it.

That was honestly my first thought, but figured maybe there was some magic solution out there.

can be built using the api, but really doesn't seem worth it, although I don't know how many people are scanning how many business cards.

Have someone go through and type them into an excel sheet and then CSV import it? The way we use our customer records it is much faster to upload all the data rather than manually keying it in

It's our sales team that's looking for the magic pill that will translate their acquired business cards into accurate contact/company records with little to no effort (typing) on their end.

I wouldn't want to manually key anything. If this was a requirement for me, I'd get any of the OCR apps that exist for scanning business cards and have that export to a CSV. Then create a CSV import template.

Shameless plus for CloudExtend Excel for NetSuite (I’m the GM). Never thought of this use case before but it’s pretty cool even the way it’s described with CSV import. With CloudExtend you can import directly from Excel (and even update previously updated data). ROI of course would depend on the volume.
Happy to set up a trial for anyone interested in testing this. I’ll work with you personally to validate the use case as I want to add it to a running list. DM me if interested.
