Is there a way to set this up in NS in more automated manner? We have purchases in which payments are dependent on milestones. For example, if task XYZ is completed, pay 10% of the bill. If task AAA is completed, pay 25% ,etc.

workflow?  trigger it on milestone task completion and have it with Go to Record action?  hard to set up though when it comes to %% I think

They are not actually linked to project task records but maybe we should?

look into purchase into project app or smg like that, it allows you create POs/VBs directly from the projects with the classifications set on the project
