Hs anyone had experience with Sales Tax on Shipping in California? The selling company is only supposed to charge sales tax on the profit component of shipping - meaning, the any shipping charge to customer that exceeds the shipping cost - I can't find a native NS function to do this...

How would you know the profit of shipping at the time of sale? Given how variable shipping prices are, wouldn't you not know the true shipping cost until you get a bill from FedEx/UPS every month? Even then, native NS doesn't have a way to handle this that I know of - but perhaps a tax partner like Avalara or Vertex might be able to help.

Thanks - the client is using a UPS integration to get the cost. They then are able to set a rate higher than 1 to bill the customer a higher price. Either way, thanks!
