So, I'm just starting on the Workflow Fundamentals course. The first module exercise of the book, on which everything else is based, is to inspect a custom furniture request record in List, Records & Fields>Record Types. It gives you a further option to create a new Furniture request in records, but for the life of me, and as I'm new to this, can't find how to do it. Is there a particular environment this is setup in? I've been using ERP and Administrator Fundamentals, Inventory Item Costing and Manufacturing, but this particular thing isn't there. Any idea how to bypass that, or create one, or as a second route, to look somewhere for some practical hands on exercises to run through workflow setup? Cheers, Nick

What’s the workflow fundamentals course? Is it part of LCS?
n
Yes, it's part of LCS.
a
Interesting It sounds like the furniture request form is a custom record that was built for their environment. Not sure how complicated it would be to replicate but go to customization > list, records and field> records types> new And make your own
n
was thinking that.. it's definitely not provisioned in this training account, or maybe there's a specific training account for the workflows
a
You get a training account with LCS?
n
no
i have one off the team i'm training through, but it's not part of the package. i think. they set it all up for me
will check in with them in the new year
a
Yeah the furniture request is not a native record so that must be custom
k
i would get the training environment, you paid for it so do use it; no need to create your own custom records; in many courses there are custom settings, use what they instruct you to do, this is the easy path :)

In many of the training modules, you do get a learning account with the specific records, customizations, answers(!) etc. You need to get the lab though via a request: Upper right. Usually takes 6-24 hours to activate.
n
Got it sorted.. Custom record, then a custom form
