When emailing a report using the message icon in the lower right corner, is there a way to default the report format to PDF?

Try going to Set Preferences>Transactions>Transaction Email Attachment Format and choosing PDF. I think that controls more than just "transactions", but I'm not sure it will work for reports. And each user would have to do that, I don't think you can roll down that setting to all users. Worth a try if nothing else.
