On the item master, is there an option for order multiple, not just minimum quantity?
m
Do you mean that you have to order the item in pairs or something like that?
And when you say order, I'm assuming you mean the customer needs to order multiple, not you order multiple from the vendor.
k
Correct - I see the reorder multiple option on purchasing, but, our customers can only order our item in increments of 12.
And "sold by" did not do the trick
m
I think you should use units of measure for that. base unit is each, sale unit is dozen.
k
I tried that, and it did not calculate correctly
m
hmm. when you enter the item on the Sales Order it doesn't pull 12, or it doesn't calculate the $$$ correctly?
k
Yup, I buy my product by the eaches but only sell in cases of 12. When I did the "sold by case of 12" for sale unit, I still needed to put 12 pieces on the quantity line to get the right sale price....then it said I had 144 pcson backorder...
I could update sales price to the price of a full box, that might work.
m
That's right. You have the sale price set to each and the sale unit set to case.

Isn't that a use case for a Kit, the sale Kit comtaing 12 of the components. That's what we do anyway.
k
Yes, I could have kitted it but found setting each and updating sale price without impacting purchase price was more practical at this pint
