anybody good at Dunning? I'm struggling with setting up the templates and could use some help. PM me if you might have a few minutes for a teachable moment.

Hi Laurie, you might struggle a bit to find someone who can pick this up for a couple minutes. I went through teaching myself dunning and spent the better part of 20 hours figuring it all out, and I'm definitely not good enough with it to just pick it up and run with it. Without having to reteach myself a bit of it. Couple pointers though... one of the pieces that still displays as an option was deprecated and they aren't very good at indicating that within the user interface. I think you have to use letter templates instead of just the code boxes on the template. I copied the code from the other tool into the template but I want to say it was the full length one I was eventually able to get to work with a few modifications.

It says they are not going to support the XML templates, but i just can't get the other template to even display as an option to be added to the rules and procedures

You have to create the template independently first. Then you can create the dunning template and then you can assign it to a plan.
because that sounds totally straight forward and not confusing to me when I typed it...

thanks! But I did do all that and the only ones I can get on the rule/procedure is the ones that came with the bundle

I'd suggest you probably work with either NS Support (depending on your purchased support level) or an experience consultant/value added reseller. Unfortunately, even getting bare bones into the dunning piece is likely to take more detail than can easily be discussed over slack.
