Just bumped into an interesting item scenario. We need to order an item, quantity 1. But that item cannot be stored in one bin. It comes as a 2 piece box. I don't think kit item types can be purchased. Any ideas on a 'best work-around' path? This is common in the furniture industry to have multi-box items.

Just left the furniture industry, never got around to fully solving this but interested in spitballing with you, and hearing others recommendations. I like the idea of separate SKUS per component, but users pushed back on me for fear of ballooning SKU count. My idea was if product is separate and subject to loss or damage individually, then they need to be accounted for individually. Some qualifying questions: • Does the vendor consider them 2 separate items? • Are assembly items on the table?

Create inventory items for box 1 and box 2 they can both be purchased Then create a kit item that contains box 1 and box 2 and this will be on the sales order
