Use a sceduled SS WF trigger and then a State that has the Send Email. You can even use a email template with Freemarker scripting (careful with the HTML mode).

There is a section entitled "Ability to Track Subscription Email sent to an Entity"

Scratch that - sorry.  I think this might be just for the bulk mailings and not for saved search.
