just a quick check before I dive into scripting a solution - does anyone know if there is a way to do a stock report/search that also shows stock committed/backordered on unapproved sales orders?

<@U59RHMMRP> I have an Item Saved Search that shows OnHand, Available, Committed and Backordered. You would only need to add the Transaction status.

Actually I have another one that is a Transaction search and highlights the line orange when there is an item on backorder so you should be able to do what you are asking.
