What is Macro? I know it is used to execute code maybe? or action? but why it is used? but I didn't understand from reading netsuite help center?
n
What context? You can add macros to advanced PDF's not sure I've seen them anywhere else in NetSuite.

n
Never seen this, cannot even find that help article! 😄
r

was just curious - what was it
n
what section in help is that or can you share the link, I'm intrigued...
ok I think a particular piece of code write by netsuite to perform on a record to perform various actions like
n
OK so it does explain what these are: "SuiteScript 2.0 supports APIs that provide the programmatic equivalent of clicking a button in the NetSuite user interface. With the record action and macro APIs, you can use SuiteScript to trigger the same business logic that a UI button click triggers. The record action and macro APIs can increase productivity by automating regular tasks that previously had to be done manually in the UI." There's even a video explaining it all, have you read any of this or watched the video?
r
I did before - now I get it
n
Just seen the list of supported record Actions it's nothing very exciting to me to be honest. Still interesting though.
r
Yeah, maybe that is why it is not used much or even much known
I don't think it is ever used?
n
Wait and see if anyone else comments 😉
