so for financial reasons, we have some customers that have multiple
Customer Record
due to needing to keep the accounts separate. We want to be able to view information (transaction/financial/reporting/etc...) by aggregate when referring to those customers. Ex: Customer is "Cool Construction Inc." They have three customer accounts within NetSuite,
101 Cool Construction Inc. (home)
with $100 in Sales, `102 Cool Construction Inc. (bus)`with $200 in Sales, and
103 Cool Construction Inc. (gov)
with $300 in Sales. When viewing a saved search of customer sales, I'd like to see them roll up as a single line of
### Cool Construction Inc.
with $600 in sales. There is a
PARENT COMPANY
field on the Customer record, but does creating a parent
109 Cool Construction Inc.
customer, and then setting the other three to
109
as the parent roll up any transactional values when using saved searches, etc....?

Put them all as subcustomers to a parent and on reports it will be drilled down. You can then see the individual as well as the overall (parent)
message has been deleted
expanded it will show individual and collapsed it will show the overall. Hope that answers your question

@Jordan Fitch thank you, that's what I was looking for
and when looking at sales amount, the parent item will show up as $600?
j
yes, you just have to make sure the saved search is 'collapsed' and not 'expanded'. If it's collapsed it groups everything to the parent. If it's expanded it only shows the subcustomer amounts and not the total
here is an example.
