This site was built to compliment the existing NetSuite Professionals Slack Community by adding a means for members to easily find answers to common questions and to create a searchable database of those questions and answers.

Trying to add a custom field to a saved search in the results tab, but the field doesnt show up as on option. Any ideas on how to fix this or are some fields not able to be added?

On the custom field definition there is a field called "Search permission" or something to that effect

if it is set to none, it can't be part of a search

There's a couple additional flavors in the middle, but most of the time you want full

It is currently set to edit but still not showing :/

Unless it's some kind of secure field or a duplicate of another one

You might try clearing your cache and starting a new search from scratch to see if it shows up as an option

Just tried that, the field still doesnt show as an option. Not sure why some fields would be excluded from a search.

I've had in some cases where I had to recreate a field in order to propogate it

I've had new additions like custom fields and records take quite some time to “show up” recently

Try logging out and back in and check back in an hour or so

Then if that doesn't work try recreating like Kevin mentioned
