I’ve been tasked with helping our manufacturing organization implement a WMS solution with Netsuite. We just deployed Advanced Manufacturing earlier this year but quickly realized that we need to incorporate WMS as well. We manufacture packaging products and I’m looking for some guidance/feedback on Netsuite WMS vs RFSmart and also how are each of those products priced (users, devices, etc). Thank you for any and all info.

The NS WMS was cheaper than RFSmart but we liked the functionality of RFSmart MUCH better We use Adv MFG as well. It does not work well with either system with regard to picking products for work orders. There is no native functionality to pick for work orders with Adv MFG The only option is to do bin transfers from inventory into a production bin and AM will back flush it out OR do your picking through AM but it won’t do directed picking Also neither has a way to bulk (or batch) pick work orders. I believe the NS WMS comes with MFG mobile add on that you can pick and complete WOs from the same RF screens but it doesn’t work with AM. Just WIP and routings RF smart also has a similar MFG add on but same thing it only uses WIP and routings and would workaround anything you’ve done with AM In my experience I recommend using RF smart for WMS and MFG and abandon Adv MFG. (unless you are really using the Finite capacity and RCCP in AM then maybe not but we found AM to be pretty terrible all around and while RF smart was expensive it’s much easier to use and adoption was easy)
