Anyone who works with the SDF plugin for Webstorm knows the issue that the IDE dont recognize the suitscript functions? liek record.load and there is no snippets... How to fix that?
s
vscode is working quite well for me with the atom sunset, maybe try that out?
d
what is it atom sunset?
s
atom ide is sunsetting, thats what i've been using before
d
its a new IDE?
s
vscode is supported by SDF, its pretty good
d
you think its better then webstorm?
s
first thing is vscode is free, and its quite customizable, i only started recently, but I run these extensions
i also have my own snippets that I transferred from my atom ide, had to change from coffeescript to json, but all in all, i'm impressed with vscode so far,
d
Ok I will give it a try, do you have any shortcuts for SDF in vscode?
s
depends on what you mean by shortcuts, but the main juicy stuff is already in suitesnippets and the suitecloud extension
d
I mean for prefference and project managment
not for snippets
s
mm, not sure if i'm understanding, but when you create a new sdf project in vscode, you can assign it to a new folder. I would do "SDF"\"COMPANY FOLDER"\"SPECIFIC PROJECT ADDON" and after you create a new project in VSCODE>SDF you can assign the token either via inherent oauth2 or via token assignement on NS
its very intuitive because its part of the suitecloud extension module you can see in the screenshot
d
If i already have a project how can i reconnect it?
s
you need to do setup>enable features> sdf in netsuite and then you follow the guide ctrl+shift+p create project in vscode
and then you select to download new scripts, new folders, records or whatever the other stuff, and everytime you deploy project, it'll update netsuite
d
ok i will givie it a try
thanks
