Hi guys - newbie question and sorry in advance if I'm asking something silly. I am looking for a way to prevent partial order fulfillments, I assumed it would be a setting but I haven't found it. Is there a way to prevent an order from going to

sales-order-pending-fulfillment

if some items are in backorder or unavailable?

I don't believe there's a setting to prevent partial order shipments. I believe the only way would be to control the sales order status based on a workflow (but more likely a script) to stay in status of pending approval until every line item is fully committed.

On the sales order shipping tab, there is a checkbox for “Ship Complete”. here’s an explanation Check this box if you want to ship this order only when complete. This will prevent multiple shipments of part-orders. When fulfilling orders in bulk, you can filter the list to include those orders marked Ship Complete that can be completely fulfilled by selecting Respect Ship Complete in the Filter By field.

Thanks. The problem with this, is that it's just a filter, not an actual block. We have orders, such as a computer, where if you don't have the power adapter in stock, there is no point in shipping out the box, we want to prevent any fulfillment from being created from this order, until all the items are in stock
