What is the difference between

"Purchase Price Variance Account" and "Production Price Variance Account".

I see that when I create a work order close the variance between the standard cost of the assemblies and  and the costs associated with the builds. What does it put in each account?

Purchase Price Variance should only be related to POs and Bills when the actual price is different than the standard price.

Production Price Variance should only be used on Work Orders. This is when the cost of good consumed is higher than expected.
