I have a small amount of experience with it - I've helped a few companies implement it.

So we went from having nothing (no SuiteTax, Avalara, etc.) to Vertex and in doing so we needed to enable SuiteTax

We are seeing two issues:
1 - It appears that SuiteTax is still calculating tax on top of Vertex. So transactions where no tax should be calculated it still is. Wonder if there is a switch we need to flip somewhere.

2 - And maybe this is another SuiteTax issue but we are getting an error message when trying to create CMs through a script that we need to click the "Preview Tax" button everytime.

ahh i have heard similar things - i think there is a flag somewhere that will stop the SuiteGL plugin from running on transactions, but not sure how easily it can be defaulted

most of my exposure to vertex has not involved suitetax but any time i've been up against suitetax it has been super buggy

We were told that you needed SuiteTax in order to turn on Vertex
