I'm creating a SuiteApp with settings to support different record types. I need to install it in 2 accounts. One account needs to support Project records while the other one doesn't have Project records enabled. I'm unable to validate my SuiteApp to the account that has Projects disabled since the SuiteApp contains a sublist that is supposed to show on Projects. How can I make this a one-size-fits-all?

Hi, has anyone experienced the Dashboard Tile bundle/suiteapp (185219) install itself automatically? It looks like it was installed on July 12 2021 by an Admin, but he has no recollection of doing this. Also the "Available Since" field on the bundle lists the same date, 7/12/21.

We wanted to roll out one very simple feature to all Netsuite user, But not sure difference between "Creating Bundle as Public" OR "Creating SuiteApp". Could some please guide us? Note that we wanted to give that feature as free without any cost, anyone can use and customize on top of that.. Please provide us some feedback on this..

suiteapps are held to more scrutiny while bundles are whatever you want.

Suiteapps can be put in the app store, given Built for Netsuite (BFN) status and even managed so they automatically update

bundles can be dropped public by anyone then installed by anyone and is just a bundle of netsuite components without any of the extra stuff above.

If you want to just distribute a common netsuite solution for free a bundle is likely more aligned with what you are doing

How does one go about getting a SuiteApp publisher Id? I want to move away from bundles but I understood there's a complicated vetting process to get an id

I'm re-considering my thoughts on the SDN program and NetSuite's new process for SuiteApps. They have a new process that takes forever and you have to jump through hoops and get pre-approved. If your app doesn't make it you don't receive the badge for BFN. Without that badge you cannot use the Control Center for distribution. Even if you do make it, the SDN's SuiteApps Manager is a mess. The SuiteApp Marketplace and their suiteapp.com site pull SEO data from different fields and is inconsistent. They say you get a lot of help with marketing and sales leads but we just haven't seen much from that. With the fact they want to get rid of bundles and are pushing SDF, how is everyone else distributing their apps moving forward? Any good solutions out there or do I make my own? My little rant is done but the fight is not over.

Using suitebundler to create a customization bundle. When I select custom forms to be included in the bundle, and then install the bundle into the target account, the forms don't mimic their setup from the account used to create the bundle. (Forms are being updated/overwritten in target account, rather than created.) I.e.: Printing Type remains "Basic" when it should be change to "Advanced", Field Groups not correctly assigned, many fields that should be hidden are visible, etc. Can't imagine this is normal behavior. Anyone have a clue?

I know a lot of people were asking about the Cash 360 Dashboard that Netsuite promoted, but didn't put out on the release. Looks like it might have been released today if you go into SuiteApps and sort by release date.

Does anyone know the differences between Netsuite Planning & Budgeting Standard vs Premium SKU? I am being told there are "what if" scenario differences, but also being told that the only differences are the # of models (standard doesn't have the Advertising module, etc)

Client is installing a SuiteApp that contains an integration record. Installation fails saying the integration record already exists. How can this be? How can I remove the integration, so that they can install the SuiteApp?

Has anyone ever encountered an error uninstalling a SuiteApp? I have attempted to uninstall and it has failed, leaving me unable to re-install the SuiteApp. I have submitted an SDN support case but hoping to gain some insight from some of you.

I have a managed SuiteApp. I know I can't push updates to sandbox accounts, but can a user manually update from their sandbox account? I think the answer is no.

We filed a support ticket and it has been logged as an enhancement (I think it’s more of a defect). In SDF if you use custom records with “USE PERMISSION LIST” as your way to configure permissions, there is no way to preserve custom record permissions that the user then adds to their own roles. Example, you deploy a role with the custom record permission but your customer has their own role they would like to use, so they add the custom record permission to their role. If you then make any sort of update to that custom record, it will remove the customer’s permission to that custom record and set it back to only the custom role you originally deployed. We didn’t run into this issue with the bundler, so if anybody has another solution, please share or please upvote our enhancement on suiteideas. SDF SuiteApp XML Update deployment > Preserve Custom Record (issueid 140004815)

When we create a folder in the SuiteApp directory and launch an HTML file it seems to accept relative URLs in the code just fine. However, when the client account does NOT have SiteBuilder or SCA it seems to fail miserably. For SuiteApps, I think this is unacceptable. Am I wrong? Should we be able to expect consistency? How hard would it be to allow this in all accounts?

One big learning of mine from SuiteWorld 22 is that NetSuite is not yet ready to migrate bundles to SuiteApps, so there will be no requirement anytime soon to convert. However, they also confirmed that if your bundle objects are supported by SDF, it will be better for you in the long run to build a SuiteApp for go-forward with new customers, and keep legacy in place until a conversion is viable. The critical issue comes when attempting to ‘uninstall’ the existing bundle, which will remove the existing objects and data… which is not viable. It is a complex problem, which will take time/resources to resolve, and it’s one of many things to do… Some suggestions were to build a ‘break bundle’ type of feature to allow a transition of ownership from bundle owner to APP ID Owner, assuming they’re the same, etc, but that would still require that all bundle objects were supported by SuiteApp SDF, which is still on the roadmap.
