Anyone else have problems with their app's recurring script and workflow times? I have several M/R and Scheduled scripts in my apps. Did you know that when it's deployed it's based on the time zone in your SDF? For example, my company is based in PST but when an account in EST installs it, the start times for the scripts are 3 hours off. And when a company in the UK installs the app, the start time is 8 hours off. Needless to say, the app doesn't run as designed for anyone outside of the PST time zone.

With the news of outbound single sign on being deprecated in NetSuite 2024.1 , how can we use netsuite as oidc for outbound sso.

Has anyone ever tested email capture in a release preview environment? I have a client that wants SuiteApprovals which so far works but the email approval just isnt working. Its not capturing any approved replies even if I force it to be sent to the right person instead of logged in user. @Sam-I-Am

Hi, does anyone have experience with connecting Excel/Power BI to NetSuite using ODBC? I was able to connect successfully but when querying the tables available, I only see the static tables and not my company's data. I've tried connecting using the administrator role, Data Warehouse integrator role and some custom roles. Thank you!

Hey! I had accidentally deployed my SuiteApp project via IDE to the account that owns the suiteapp without the Objects folder with the custom record type xml definitions. Netsuite thought I wanted to delete my objects/custom record types on deployment and went ahead and removed them. I then proceeded to add them back in and Netsuite recreated them with different internal ids. Now when users attempt to update their bundle, they will have to perform migrations of their Custom Records because the internalid have changed. Any advice? Thanks in advance!

@Ivan Thai Oh the dreaded delete. Would you believe I had this happen and raised a ticket to at least give me a warning before deleting things and they didn't care? Anyway you have to create an Anchor suiteapp which is something that was in the SAFE guide a while ago and was since removed

thanks @The Usual Suspect this was a good read, but unfortunately, if i understand the above correctly, I think my situation is slightly different because we inadvertently deleted the object mapping in the deployment account. this means that the object mapping between deployment accounts and customer accounts are broken so it seems like we are at a point of no return. however, it would seem to me that we could still use this to fix this issue, but at a per customer level, as customers would each have to install the anchor bundle to preserve their data or we would need to find a way to migrate their data I’ve been in contact with their dev team and they might have an unofficial/backdoor process to help restore the object mappings, but I don’t think I should hold my breath

There is a refresh option from netsuite but its $15k unless you complain a lot with a good justification or you have connections

Don't know how many of you have used the SuiteApp Control Center (SACC) but I'm having issues. Particularly with non-BFN approved solutions I've created. The new SACC is honestly incredible but can't be used for anything not on the marketplace. What do ya'll use for all your pending BFN or non BFN solutions?

SACC is only for BFN approved SuiteApps. Bundles are the only alternative distribution option

Not really. The app is the just the tool. Rarely is it a one time fee. This is SaaS. Its almost always a subscription

Hello, I’m trying to upgrade our unmanaged SuiteBundler SuiteApp to an SDF SuiteApp. My goal is to upgrade users to the new SDF Suiteapp. When installing the SDF SuiteApp, it treats it as a new app install and then it complains that the custom record types already exist - which is true because the SuiteBundler app is still installed. How can I configure the SDF suiteapp to adopt the existing custom records without having to create new custom records and do a data migration? I’ve also tried listing the suitebundler as a dependency…which kind of works but now customers can’t install the SDF suiteapp without the suitebundler app which we plan to EOL

Has anyone wrote scripts to migrate/copy up to 100,000 - 500,000 records to a new custom record type? I’m currently playing with M*ap/Reduce scripts* which were designed to process lots of data and help work around the governance limitations. So far it looks like it can migrate 1000 records/min. Curious to know if someone found a better way. Thanks in advance!

You can get a ton of concurrency if you have suitecloud + licenses and you can turn off scripting but on custom records that probably won't help much

You can manipulate a saved search export in excel and reimport as your new custom record type. 25k record limitation per file but might be faster

I've been tasked with trying to figure out a way to ensure our user isnt disabled in a customer's instance. Because our SuiteApp is completely built inside of NetSuite, we have one or two customers who have figured out that they can disable our user and keep our service. I cant stop them from disabling a workflow or script. We tried having a managed script deployed to records that tells the customer that the license service (outside NetSuite) has been disabled as an annoyance; but, the customer just went an undeployed those scripts too. They have since resubscribed (as they needed support with the 2023.2 release) and that is how we found all of this out. I'm being told that NetSuite "cant do anything if the customer disables the user" but that's our intellectual property..... Any suggestions on protecting this scenario would be greatly appreciated.
