Anyone have any luck creating a saved search showing recognized and forecasted revenue w/ the recognized portion matching the PnL? Recently converted to ARM and looking to marry schedules and plans together to show this
j
You need a Revenue Recognition Plan search. Recognition account and posting period should get you what you want - summing Amount (line level). Be warned this saved search is missing what I would consider to be some pretty fundamental links - depending on what you need, you might need to throw your hands up and use ODBC

Thanks for the feedback. That type of search doesn’t include Revenue Schedules though

oh sorry I misread your last sentence. You can run a second transaction saved search where line memo does not start with Rev Rec Destination (same columns) and then stitch them together using a script. Other than that then you're stuck with a custom report based on revenue by customer, or using ODBC Netsuite seem to expect people to use 100% one method or the other, which is very annoying

I hear ya there. Thanks!

@_ludlow - or you can use analytics for that

That’s what I was thinking @Karina. For some reason on a revenue plans dataset I was unable to pull the customer/project name 🤔
k
@_ludlow - not all searches are able to provide you with data in each field 😞. I’ll see tp dig this information for you at cob…
@_ludlow - got sidetracked yesterday 😞. but tested this morning, and yes, you can pull your customer from the customer:project, I used Customer field, you can also use Entity ID for that..

I have a modified revenue by customer report that will pull both plans and schedules, recognized and unrecognized including project data that matches the P&L as long as you dont have revenue reclasses or revenue allocations. It pulls the revenue amounts from the respective schedules/plans

Hi, Is there is a way to create a saved search for Elements that don’t have Revenue Plans? Thank you in advance!
k
Yep, replied in arm channel, just use filter Revenue Plan Status = Not Started
