I have a requirement for monthly usage based revrec and quarterly fixed fee billing - so client wants a SO line for quantity 4 with rate = $25,000 (the quarterly fee), but also needs to be able to recognize usage against an annual ‘target’ of 100,000 units with rate = $1 per unit. Only way I can think of to do it (without scripting) is to create the Revenue Plan on fulfillment, set the SO line with quantity 100,000, unit rate = $1, fulfill monthly for rev rec, bill it quarterly off a billing schedule and use fake column fields for ‘invoice quantity’ = 1 and ‘invoice rate’ = $25,000 to avoid showing the back end detail to end-customer. Anyone have a cleaner solution? Again, without scripting. Don’t have the greenlight for custom dev.

Yes, fulfillment is your best option… unless your fulfillment date and billing date are one and the same, then use Billing as Create Rev Plans On
