Is there any way to change a lot number other than going to the original item receipt?

i usually do that I creating an Inventory Adjustment with one line reliving the quantity I wan’t to change to a new lot and another line adding the same quantity and same cost to the new lot.

If you use average cost it can lead to a small variance because the cost change before the end of day but usually it’s imaterial

Yes, your new lot number will start from IA

The above are the two options to reconcile this. You edit the originating receipt or use adjustments.
