How do I delete/adjust stock that does not actually exist. I have a specific example, but I think my question is actually generic in regards to general item/stock maintenance. My specific issue is below and is related to a picked bin, but it very well could be for any bin. We did a physical inventory this past weekend. Once all orders were completed, I tried to empty the picked bins as best I could. We had a few picked bins that had hundreds of items in them (I think this is due to poor procedures in the past, like not deleting fulfillments on a canceled order). Anyway, at this point since everything was closed out, we know that any stock in a picked bin is bogus. I was able to delete most of the items, but some would not allow me to adjust them down, because NS claimed that there was not enough quantity available. An example far an item when I looked at the bin detail sublist was the following: Available: 2 On Hand: 14 If I try to adjust down to 0, I get the error “not enough qty available”, however I was able to adjust by -2 , leaving 0 available and On Hand = 12. I know that this remaining on hand quantity of 12 is bogus, but I don’t know how to get rid of it. It must be tied to transactions (I assume fulfillments) and netsuite wont release them. Any thoughts on how to rectify this issue? I have many of these and is causing sales issues. Thanks!

I would generally check the bin on hand table and location on hand table. If they are different, you can usually align them by turning off
usebins
for that item(s) and adjusting up or down, then turning back on afterwards. Once bin on hand and location on hand tables are even, you should not have any problems adjusting stuff out with normal inventory adjustments.

@Sandii interesting. I'll check that in the sandbox. thanks!

If those fulfillments are still sitting in picked/packed or something though, you might have problems touching those bins until you get rid of them. Not 100% sure what the exact problem is without being in there and digging obviously

@Sandii Thanks for you suggestions, they helped big time! It turns out that these were all from pending fulfillment's. I was able to create a saved search that pulled all pending fulfillment of sales orders that are either in pending fulfillment or partial fulfillment status. I was able to either delete or mark as shipped those fulfillment's and then those items in the picked bin had their available quantities updated. I was then able to remove them via an inventory adjustment. thanks again!
