Best practice for goods in-transit? When the items are placed on a boat, we would like to have them in in-transit account until they arrive to the final destination. I could think of two options: 1. Create a reversal journal every month end. 2. Have item fulfilment to a virtual in-transit location and then create a transfer order to final location. Other suggestions?

Create a transfer order to a location designated as non-sellable for in-transit items and then another transfer order when they arrive. It would be similar in concept to Amazon FBA where you send the product to Amazon's warehouse and then reconcile them with what Amazon receives.

There is a Netsuite native inbound shipping manager. It has some limitations (like can't have them hit a class), but it probably has what you need.

Thank you! the inbound shipping manager looks promising!

There are a lot of limitations on the inbound shipment/take ownership module but they are moving in the right direction. Otherwise, you have to do a virtual location and TOs in which you will loose visibility
