yes we do <@UER9Q3SGM>. The BOM Control field is available on my Assembly item record, just not visible :confused:

I am looking to turn on Advance BOM as it is a requirement for outsourced manufacturing, something my organisation desperately needs. <@UER9Q3SGM> why is Advanced BOM such a disaster?

It's not that it's a disaster, but turning the switch on can break transactions

if you don't have appropriate things configured when you make the change you'll bring your transactions down

If you use Advance BOM from implementation you will be fine, it's like you are changing the rules in the middle of the game, so you need to take in consideration whatever is going on.

Unfortunately for us, it will be a case of turning it on later as we have been running with NetSuite for many years. We will test thoroughly but any help on the gotchas will be really appreciated
