Hi, is anyone familiar with BOM control methods? I want to assign obsolete dates on some items so they can no longer be used in future assembly builds. I read multiple BOM control SA articles, which all explain the following method:
1. Go to Lists > Accounting > Items.
2. Click Edit next to the assembly item record you want to set.
3. On the Purchasing/Inventory subtab, in the Effective BOM Control list, select Revision Control.
My problem is that I cannot see the Effective BOM Control field on the form, even though the field is checked to be visible when I customized the assembly item form. Any advice? Thanks!
