We noticed that when trying to use SOAP for Customer Creation / Updates, we can no longer pass full "state" (providence) names for Canada customers. (e.g. We used to pass "British Columbia" as the state name, but now we get

The country and state/province are mismatched, the country is CA and the state/province is British Columbia. Please enter a state/province short name that matches the country.

This was working last week, but stoped working on Friday. Has anyone else noticed this or seen any documented changes?

We had the same issue begin at the same time. In the end we had to tick the

Allow free-form state in addresses

setting to resume processing. Pulled our hair out for a while hunting for what had changed in our config or looking for a documented change without any luck. Strangely, this only affected customer creation in a few countries (CA being one of them) while other countries continued as normal. I've raised a case and escalated to try and find reasons but no response/information as yet
